+++ LEWD YEAR END AWARDS FOR 2011. This has to be dubbed "the year of Punk" based on the results.
Wrestler of the Year: Cm Punk, Match of the Year: Cm Punk v. John Cena in Chicago for the WWE Title, Loose Cannon of the Year: Cm Punk, Best on Interviews: Cm Punk, Best Ring Entrance: Cm Punk's return with the debut of "Cult of Personality" on RAW, Best Gimmick: Cm Punk "out of control" and Feud of the Year: John Cena v. Cm Punk.
Keeping count that is eight total awards for Punk; I believe that is the first time that has ever happened in one given year. And on to the remaining categories.

+++ SAVANNAH JACK PASSES AWAY. Former UWF mainstay Savannah "Jack" Russell passed away on 1/16 due to heart problems. He was 63. Jack worked for Bill Watts UWF in the 80's and had a major run with the Television title. Our best wishes go out to his family.
+++ DAVID OTUNGA WINS LAWSUIT AGAINST NEW YORK LABOR DEPARTMENT. WWE.COM posted a story about David Otunga taking on a pro-bono case to help an individual battle the New York State Department of Labor for not allowing him to collect unemployment benefits. As the story goes Otunga presented his arguments in a court room setting and the judge agreed with him. The story went on to say that Otunga is currently 20-0 in court. The story tied this in to next weeks RAW with HHH evaluating John Laurinaitis sighting that if Otunga is in his corner then likely HHH won't be able to terminate him.
+++ RAW THOUGHTS. Opening segment was to set up the two main event matches for the show with Cm Punk doing a strong promo and trying to call out John L. Instead John Cena came out and he had his own reasons to call out John L. John L finally came out and through all of the talk it was announced that Punk & Cena would face Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler.
Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger beat Cm Punk & John Cena when Ziggler pinned Punk as John L (who stayed at ringside to watch the match) distracted Punk.
After the match Punk confronted John L and challenged him to a match and L accepted.
Highlight Reel hosted by Chris Jericho is up next. He did the segment with out ever speaking and then went to the back and got the tshirt gun and never shot tshirts to the audience. And then he finally broke his silence and told everyone that the "World as you know it" ends at Royal Rumble. That was it.
Kane v. Zack Ryder in a falls count anywhere match ended in a no contest after Ryder was chokeslammed through a gimmick'd stage and injured.
After the match as Ryder was being taken out in an ambulance, Eve Tores blamed John Cena telling him it was his fault. Cena was then confronted by Josh Matthews asking one of those stupid questions and Cena shoved him away.
Sheamus beat Jinder Mahal. Wade Barrett was out but played the heel that was afraid to get in to action with Sheamus and simply backed away.
Miz promo about how all of his former partners that double cross him end up being destroyed by him and R Truth would learn that in their match. The loser was #1 in the rumble.
R Truth beat The Miz. Miz is number 1 in the Rumble and has to last 63 minutes to beat Misterio's mark. I bet he does it.
Brodus Clay beat Heath Slater. William Regal was doing guest color so it appears they are feuding.
David Otunga gives John L a note and L isn't thrilled after reading it.
Cm Punk enters the ring. John L is introduced but doesn't come out after three announcements but finally does and tells us that he has an announcement to make. Apparently the WWE Board of Director's have been watching and are not happy with his plans. They are not happy he is trying to 'screw' the WWE Champion and abusing his authority. So next week he will be evaluated by HHH and he has been stripped of the "interim" part of his title. Story here is that if he "screws" Punk at the PPV then he loses his job the next night on RAW and now he has to call the match down the middle. And Mick Foley gets his spot in the Rumble after all.
John L replaced himself in the match with David Otunga. Punk beat Otunga. Punk hit the GTS on John L and Ziggler ran in and attacked Punk to end the show.
+++ DANIEL BRYAN HONORED AS THE "MOST ANIMAL-FRIENDLY ATHLETE" BY PETA. Because he is vegan. Others nominated for the award were Chase Utley, Jake Shields and Willis McGahee so it wasn't as if Bryan was the only athlete up for it and one can argue the others were actually more famous then Bryan.
+++ ROCK RETURNS TO RAW ON 3/12. In Cleveland, Ohio. He also is on the 3/26 RAW. So WOW, two RAW's in one month. That would be the most he has done in one month since he came back (lol).
+++ SMACKDOWN TONIGHT AT 8PM ON SYFY. Mark Henry v. Big Show v. Daniel Bryan is the main event and build towards Royal Rumble.
+++ MARK HENRY INJURY. Henry suffered a second injury to his leg at the last Smackdown taping (airs tonight) and it is not known if he will be in the match on Sunday or if they will make an excuse why he was pulled from it or do an angle at the show itself to explain why he isn't in it.
